One time Twitter cut me off during a live tweet despite the fact that I was nowhere near the 1000 tweet limit. Apparently they couldn’t handle me so I continued my thoughts on the MTV Video Music Awards here:

Today is the big day.
I wish I could say I’ve been waiting for this a long time, but the truth is, one year ago I never dreamed I’d even get the opportunity to attend SXSW. I diligently watched the Interactive festival tweets go by in 2010 and in 2011 I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to experience it in person with my good friends (and former colleagues) Steve and Melissa.

I first heard Christopher Poole (aka MOOT) speak at last year’s ROFLCON. I was thrilled to hear from him again as a keynote of this year’s SXSW Interactive festival and particularly to hear more about his new project, canv.as
What I didn’t anticipate is the amount of damage that his keynote is about to inflict on my industry.
